Denver Broncos rumors are beginning to fly around as Super Bowl 50 continues to draw closer. According to reports, quarterback Peyton Manning is set to retire following the game to end his amazing career.
There is no surprise at this point in time that Manning should end up retiring following the impressive season that he had. He has no chance to repeat this type of season and going out on a positive note would be a great way to end his career. It will be a sad day when Manning does end up retiring.
Manning and the Broncos were able to knock off Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in order to get into Super Bowl 50. It was obvious that Manning was letting the win soak in a bit more than normal. He also took the time to have extended conversations with Bill Belichick and Brady following the game.
At 39 years old, it was obvious that Manning had lost a bit this season. He made more mistakes than normal and went through some injury troubles as well.
Throughout the 17 seasons that Manning has played, he has put up huge numbers and broken many NFL records. He has completed 65.3 percent of his career passes for 71,940 yards, 539 touchdowns and 251 interceptions. Those numbers show just how impressive of a career he has had.
Obviously he will be going down as one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game. He would be making a wise decision with retirement, but it would still be a very sad day for the rest of the league.
Expect to see the Broncos compete even harder with the Panthers in Super Bowl 50 knowing now that Manning could very well be on his way out of the league following the game.
