The Ninety-Eighth Annual Nathan's Famous Hot Dog-Eating Contest is set for noon today on ESPN. Check back here for live results of the competition. Joey Chestnut, the 7-time champion of the annual Fourth of July event, is going to try to beat his own world record of 69 dogs. That's right; Chestnut is gunning for an unprecedented 72 hot dogs today. But his victory will be bittersweet. Chestnut misses his fiercest rival, Takeru Kobayashi.

    Linebacker Aldon Smith will not be facing charges for allegedly making a bomb threat at LAX in April. Apparently it's in poor taste to suggest you have a bomb whilst in a crowded airport. Anywho, the San Francisco LB won't be charged for that crime, however, he could still face jail time for a potpourri of felony charges stemming from the last two years, including drug possession, weapons possessions and two DUI. He pleaded no-contest in May to all charges.
