Tracy Morgan Health Update: ‘Always Sunny’ Creators Postpone, Not Cancel New FXX Show After Deadly Wal-Mart Truck Wreck

Health Update: Last month comedian Tracy Morgan and others were severely injured when a Wal-Mart tractor trailer truck wrecked into his limo bus, killing his friend and writer James “Jimmy Mack” McNair. Since the incident, Morgan has been hospitalized and then moved to a rehab facility. Morgan was scheduled to shoot a brand new TV show for FXX from the team behind the hit show, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Recently the network released a statement announcing that they are going to postpone the series that many feared would be canceled.

FX Networks has officially released a statement about the fate of Tracy Morgan’s new series, telling the press:

“The only thing we are concerned with is the health and recovery of Tracy Morgan and the victims of this tragic accident. We will support Tracy and his family in every way possible throughout his recovery. At the point when Tracy has recovered and decides that he is ready to go back to work, his show will be waiting for him. Right now our thoughts and prayers remain with Tracy, the other victims of the accident, and their families.”

The series starring Morgan is being helmed by It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia stars and creators, Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton. The show is scheduled to air on the FX spin-off channel FXX.

Recently, Morgan’s publicist Lewis Kay revealed that he was moved to rehab, telling the press:

"Tracy has been transferred to an undisclosed rehab center, where he is expected to remain for the next few weeks. While he is continuing to show signs of improvement, he still has a long way to go."
