The Green Bay Packers saw wide receiver Davante Adams provided an injury update on his knee. He said "I think I'll be fine" following the game and the Packers will need him next week against Arizona.
Adams had a big game before going down with an injury and it was a major scare for the Packers to say the very least.
Jordy Nelson went down with a torn ACL prior to the season and has been missed in a big way. Ty Montgomery also went down with a knee injury and has missed the majority of the season. Green Bay cannot afford to lose another wide receiver at this point in the season with the Cardinals' defense waiting for them.
"It's a little sore now, but I think I'll be fine," Adams said. "I've just got to feel it out throughout the week and see how I'm doing. They said that it's just going to be a thing that they felt it would probably be best and smartest if I sat out the rest of the half."
Throughout the course of the 2015 regular season, Adams caught 50 passes for 483 yards and a touchdown. Before going down with the injury yesterday afternoon, Adams caught four passes for 48 yards and a touchdown.
Green Bay has to be very happy to hear that Adams thinks he'll be good to go. He may have struggled throughout the majority of the regular season, but he still has plenty of time to turn things around. Adams is just 23 years old and is still figuring out how to succeed at the NFL level.
Aaron Rodgers and the Packers' offense seemed to figure things out from the second quarter on. Even without Adams they were able to move the football consistently.
Expect to hear more updates on Adams throughout the week and don't be surprised if he's ready to go on Saturday night.
