According to the recent Facebook news update, newlywed Mama June chose to terminate the get together with friends and fans after the entire Thompson/Shannon clan--save patriarch Sugar Bear--became sick while on vacation. Josh Beckett Injured On Disabled List After Hot Foot Prank On Scott Van Slyke
Dodgers pitcher Josh Beckett may be eating some karma salad after playing a prank on teammate Scott Van Slyke. He and the rest of the Dodgers looked on as Van Slyke fell prey to the old "hot foot" wherein a bunch of cigarettes or matches are adhered to the victim's cleats with bubble gum and lit. The LA fire marshall even gave the entire team a stern lecture and a wag of the finger in the press. He must have ticked off someone in the "Do Unto Others" office because he injured his hip rounding bases this week. He has been placed on the 15-day disabled list after "tweaking" something on Tuesday.
