Xbox News: Microsoft Offers Select 360 Gamers $75 to Buy Next Gen Xbox One After Price Drop and ‘Titanfall’ Bundle [X1]

First the Xbox One released the Titanfall bundle, with a free copy of the hottest game of 2014. Than came the recent price drop, sans Kinect. Now Microsoft is offering select Xbox 360 users $75 in credit to buy join the next generation. That means that a few lucky games could get could wind up getting some hot titles for free.

Time is reporting on a NeoGAF user, named BeforeU who posted about the discount:

“Thanks for being an Xbox fan. Hi [blanked out]. As our way of saying thanks we’re giving YOU, one of our very best customers, an exclusive $75 Xbox promotional code with the purchase of any Xbox One or Xbox One Bundle from Microsoft Store or your local retailer. Your code can be used for games, add-ons, movies, and more!”

Time also spoke with a Microsoft spokesperson who confirmed that the promotion is real, adding:

“This short-term promotion is offered to select Xbox fans in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. We are always looking for opportunities to bring promotions like this to our customers, but we have nothing further to share at this time.”

That means if you are one of the lucky Xbox fans that receive this code, you can get some pretty hot titles for free. That combined with the recent price drop and newly added Games with Gold program, makes getting a new Xbox One a completely irresistible deal.

However, early Xbox One buyers, including this writer, can’t help but feel left out….(Think of the writers, Microsoft. Think of the poor, poor writers.)

What do you think about the deal? Would that be enough to make you buy join the next generation? What game would you buy with the money? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
