Green Bay Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy Has Had Horrible Success in NFL Playoffs

The Green Bay Packers lost last night against the Arizona Cardinals and it is just another example of head coach Mike McCarthy having horrible success in the NFL Playoffs throughout his Green Bay career.

Jason Wilde, an NFL and Packers reporter, took to his personal Twitter account to put up an incredible stat about the Packers under McCarthy. It may not be McCarthy's fault, but they have lost seven playoff games and five of them have been lost on the last play of the game. Obviously that is a hearbreaking statistic, especially now as the last two years have been the exact same type of last minute disappointment.

McCarthy has led the Packers to a lot of success, but he just hasn't been able to get them over the hump when it really matters. There have been some that believe the Packers could consider going in a different direction at the head coach position this offseason, but that doesn't seem likely with the win that they had over the Washington Redskins in the Wild Card round of the postseason.

Green Bay has had McCarthy as their head coach for the last 10 years and have gone 104-55 with him leading the way.

Perhaps change isn't the right move to make right now, but frustration should be made known. McCarthy has too good of a team with the best quarterback in the NFL on his side to have only won one Super Bowl. Losing to Seattle and Arizona in back-to-back years on blown plays should also come back a bit on the head coach.

All of that being said, it will be intriguing to see what the offseason holds for the Packers. Another season ending in heartbreak can't be a good feeling and it will motivate them to come back even better next season.
