‘Bates Motel’ Freddie Highmore Talks Disney/Sony ‘Spider-Man’ Casting, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield: Norman Bates Dating Olivia Cooke Emma

Spoiler & Rumors: It was recently announced that Disney and Sony are working together to reboot the Spider-Man franchise and bring the webslinger into Avengers 3 and 'Captain America 3: Civil War.' A fan favorite for the casting of Peter Parker is 'Bates Motel' star Freddie Highmore. Recently, Highmore addressed the casting rumor, and talk about the possibility of replacing Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Freddie Highmore also compared the new role to Norman Bates, who currently has the fortune of dating Olivia Cooke’s Emma Decody on the hit A&E series.

These conventions, while small, give fans the chance to let their geeks fly. Like every other convention, fans cosplay as their favorite characters; buy, sell and trade comics; and everything else under Superman’s yellow sun. We got the chance to a few local conventions here in the great state of South Carolina, including the Sumter/Shaw Con, Captain's Con in Charleston, and the 2014 Xcon in Myrtle Beach. It has recently been revealed that the new movie will be a springboard to an all new expanded universe. Marvel's 'Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier' directors, the Russo Brothers, are scheduled to direct the new movie with 'Iron Man 3’s' Drew Pearce, writing the script. Channing Tatum has been brought on as a producer and possibly actor. The studio is also opening up a production company, titled Ghostcorps with Ivan Reitman and Dan Aykroyd.
