The Undertaker could be the most fabled wrestler to ever set foot in the ring. However, he has been a target for new faces after his loss to Brock Lesnar. In recent news, Wyatt called out the "Deadman," when he revealed a wooden casket and lit it on fire. It is clear that the up-and-comer isn't afraid of a challenge or making a definitive message. Some have joked about Bray's impact on the WWE and pointed out his resemblance to Ron Swanson from Parks and Recreation. It is clear that fans are becoming more and more comfortable with the country man's presence. Yet, some have suggested his recent stunts are too extreme, leading up to this year's WrestleMania.
Before his time in the WWE, Windham Lawrence Rotunda, a.k.a. Bray Wyatt, played college football for Troy University in Alabama. He left the school before receiving a degree to pursue a career in professional wrestling.
Like so many before him, Wyatt jumped between several lesser-known promotions before proving himself worthy of a spot with World Wrestling Entertainment. He made his debut as a member of The Nexus in July of 2013.
Now, the Wyatt family are some of the most popular people in the sport, and according to Cage Side Seats, people are not shying away from Bray or his humorous antics:
"This week on RAW, Bray Wyatt continued his parade of mind games aimed squarely at The Undertaker. This time, the histrionics included the unveiling of a casket...Was the intent to emphasize that Wyatt is just as comfortable with the idea of death as is The Undertaker? Perhaps it was a...threat indicating where 'Taker belongs at this point in his career. [Also, there was] an earnest commitment to craftsmanship...Bray Wyatt is, of course, a living, breathing, man. Yet, I couldn't help but be reminded of a fictional character...Ron Swanson."
It is always fun to make these kinds of connections. However, to some, the prodding of the legend is uncalled for.
According to Fansided, Wyatt's provocations have gotten too extreme:
"The WWE audience has seen Wyatt go to new extremes to provoke The Undertaker to return for a match at WrestleMania...It was at WWE Fastlane when Wyatt came to the ring posing as The Deadman. Now, a few weeks later, it seems that Wyatt is pushing the limits...Wyatt isn't any ordinary wrestler; he is the new face of dark and wicked within WWE."
