The New Orleans Saints are set to host the Jacksonville Jaguars in NFL Week 16 action. What five bold predictions can be made for the game and what should fans be on the lookout for throughout the game?
1. Drew Brees or Garrett Grayson Dominates the Jacksonville Defense
At this point in time there is no telling whether Drew Brees will play or not. Garrett Grayson could end up getting the start, but whoever ends up starting at quarterback will dominate the Jaguars' defense. Jacksonville has been incredibly inconsistent this season and the Saints' offense will pass all over their defense.
2. Blake Bortles Continues His Impressive Play
Jacksonville has been very encouraged by the play that Blake Bortles has shown them this season. He has proven that he has the talent to be a long-term franchise quarterback, which is exactly what the Jaguars have been in need of finding. Bortles is going to continue his impressive season this week and will put up huge numbers against the Saints' porous secondary.
3. Willie Snead Puts Up Huge Numbers
One of the biggest surprises of the season for the Saints has been Willie Snead. He has been one of the top receivers for the Saints all season long and will put up huge numbers this week. Jacksonville doesn't have any defensive back capable of keeping up with him and that will wear on them all game, which will result in Snead having a big performance.
4. Jacksonville's Defense Racks Up at Least Four Sacks
New Orleans doesn't have an amazing offensive line and the Jaguars are going to be sending blitz after blitz at the Saints' quarterback. They will get through the line and rack up at least four sacks.
5. Jacksonville Goes on the Road and Picks Up a Big Upset
These two teams are fairly evenly matched, but the Jaguars are going to pull off a huge road win. Bortles will put up a big enough game that the Saints' defense won't be able to slow them down enough. Jacksonville has a better all-around defense than New Orleans does, which will make the difference.
