5 Bold Predictions for San Diego Chargers vs. Miami Dolphins in NFL Week 15

The San Diego Chargers are set to face off against the Miami Dolphins in NFL Week 15 action. What five bold predictions can be made for the game and what should fans be on the lookout for throughout the game?

1. Melvin Gordon Rushes for 80+ Yards and His First Touchdown

San Diego selected Melvin Gordon with the No. 15 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft with hopes that he could immediately be a playmaker for them out of the backfield. That hasn't been the case just yet, as Gordon has not even scored his first NFL rushing touchdown. Gordon will finally get that touchdown this weeka nd will rush for over 80 yards on the game.

2. Lamar Miller Totals 150 Yards, Two Touchdowns

One of the biggest surprises at the running back position this season has been Dolphins running back Lamar Miller. He has been a threat both on the ground and as a receiver out of the backfield. Miller will total 150 yards and two touchdowns this season and will put his team in a good position to pull off the win with his production.

3. Philip Rivers Produces Big Numbers Against a Struggling Miami Defense

Miami has been incredibly inconsistent this season defensively and will pay for that this week against Philip Rivers. He has put up big games throughout the season, although he has been losing his top targets as well. Rivers will have yet another big game this week and will put up big numbers against the struggling Dolphins' defense.

4. Miami Records at Least Four Sacks in the Game

While Rivers is going to have a big game, the Dolphins are not going to let him escape from the game without a beating. They are going to rush the passer a lot and that will result in at least four sacks on Rivers. Miami knows their secondary isn't star-studded, which makes them try to force quick decisions and mistakes with their pass rush.

5. Miami Pulls Off a Road Victory to Improve to 6-8

Neither team is going to make the playoffs, which is a huge disappointment for both franchises. Miami is still the better of the two teams, especially with the injuries that the Chargers have to star wide receiver Keenan Allen. They will be able to pull off the road win to improve 6-8 on the season, while San Diego will drop to a dismal 3-11 with the loss.
