Green Bay Packers: 5 Takeaways from NFL Week 14 28-7 Win vs. Dallas Cowboys

Following the Green Bay Packers' 28-7 NFL Week 14 win vs. the Dallas Cowboys, what five takeaways can be seen for the Packers? Are they back to being a legitimate Super Bowl contender?

1. Aaron Rodgers Is Still Playing Like an MVP Caliber Quarterback

After all of the speculation that Aaron Rodgers was struggling and couldn't turn his teams season around, he has done enough to prove he's still an MVP caliber quarterback. Rodgers proved once again that he is doing enough to pick up big wins for his team. He isn't putting up massive eye popping numbers, but he is putting up big numbers without any major mistakes.

2. Green Bay Is Still the Best Team in the NFC North Division

There is still some speculation about whether or not the Packers are the best team in the NFC North division. Those question marks can be put to rest now that they are back on the winning track. Green Bay is still the best team in the NFC North division and are proving that with their 9-4 record despite the major struggles that they've had since their 6-0 start.

3. Mike McCarthy Calling the Plays Is Much Better Than Tom Clements

Green Bay head coach Mike McCarthy finally decided to take over the play calling duties from Tom Clements this week. The offense looked much smoother and it seemed much more dangerous and capable of coming up with big plays. McCarthy is a much better play caller from the sidelines and the Packers are going to continue improving moving forward.

4. Eddie Lacy Has Finally Figured Things Out

Last week against the Detroit Lions, the Packers practically benched Eddie Lacy. He was late for curfew and McCarthy knew that he had to make an example out of Lacy and motivate him to be sharper. It worked in a big way this week against the Cowboys as Lacy picked up 124 yards and a touchdown, which makes it seem like he has finally figured things out.

5. Davante Adams Is Quickly Falling Out of Favor with Aaron Rodgers

Throughout the course of the game against Dallas, Davante Adams saw his role diminish. He is no longer in the good graces of Aaron Rodgers, which will have a negative impact on his numbers. Adams was expected to be a major playmaker for the Packers this season, but that hasn't happened and he is without question in the dog house.
