Coming off of an embarrassing Week 12 home loss to the Chicago Bears, the Green Bay Packers are in free fall. Now the question becomes, could part of Aaron Rodgers' problems be directly tied to second-year wide receiver Davante Adams?
According to a report from Pro Football Talk, Rodgers has been at his worst when targeting Adams this season. They posted crazy numbers that would make any fan believe there is an issue between the two.
Over the last three weeks when throwing to Adams, Rodgers has completed 15 of his 35 pass attempts for 129 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. The interception came on Thursday night on Thanksgiving when Adams seemingly gave up on a route. Rodgers' pass ended up being intercepted by Tracy Porter and was a huge blow in the 17-13 loss.
Rodgers has completed 58 of his 103 passes for 618 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions in the passes that he has thrown to another receiver other than Adams.
It is hard to believe that one of the Packers' most talented wide receivers could actually be an issue for Rodgers. He did make it clear following the game that he didn't feel that his receivers were on the same page with him when talking the media.
"I'm obviously going to have to make sure my preparation is as high as it's ever been because we need to get on the same page, the passing game," Rodgers said. "We're just on different pages. When you miss throws, when I'm throwing at a certain depth, when receivers are running at certain depth -- we're obviously on different pages."
Seeing Green Bay go through these kinds of struggles on the offensive side of the football is strange. Rodgers has been nearly perfect for quite a few years now.
Throughout the 2015 season with the Packers, Rodgers has completed 60.5 percent of his passes for 2,684 yards, 24 touchdowns and four interceptions. He has seen those numbers be career lows in the completion percentage area since taking over as the starter. That has to worry the Packers moving forward.
It will be very intriguing to see what the Packers end up doing moving forward and whether or not they decide to make any changes with Adams.
