Philadelphia Eagles: 5 Reasons They Will Win the NFC East and Make the NFL Playoffs

The Philadelphia Eagles got off to a slow start this season, but are beginning to turn things on a bit. After knocking off the New England Patriots, what five reasons can be given to support the statement that they will win the NFC East and make the NFL playoffs?

1. Sam Bradford Is Beginning to Figure Things Out

After being acquired from the St. Louis Rams this past offseason, Sam Bradford got off to a terrible start. He hasn't figured out how to fit in with Chip Kelly's offense, but seems to be starting to figure things out. Philadelphia is excited about the future and Bradford is a big part of their future.

2. Finding the Perfect Running Back Rotation for Success

Chip Kelly's offense revolves around finding the perfect running back rotation to balance their offense. That has been beginning to form, as DeMarco Murray has been sitting more often. Darren Sproles, Kenjon Barner and Murray are all going to continue getting carries and the three of them are going to consistently put up production on the ground moving forward.

3. The Defense Is Finally Beginning to Step Up and Perform

Throughout the course of the offseason, the Eagles made quite a few moves to bolster their defense. Those moves paid off in a big way with the defensive play that the Eagles showed against New England. They had two interceptions with one being returned 99 yards for a touchdown and were able to put a lot of pressure on Tom Brady, which is very difficult to do.

4. Chip Kelly's Offense Is Very Difficult to Defend Against

While there have been some hiccups with Kelly's offense, it is still very difficult for opposing defenses to defend against. His personnel are finally showing that they fit into what he wants them to do. Philadelphia is without question capable of putting up being numbers on the scoreboard each and every week if they continue playing to their full potential.

5. There Are More than Enough Playmakers on Both Sides of the Football

As currently constructed, the Eagles are without question happy with the number of playmakers that they have on both sides of the football. They have a good core on offense and their defense is finally beginning to see which players will step up as leaders. Assuming they continue growing, there is nothing holding Philadelphia back from being the best team in the NFC East at the end of the season.
