Game Prediction: The Jets and Raiders have both been performing above expectations so far this season, which sets the stage for a very intriguing game this afternoon.
Derek Carr and the Raiders come into this afternoon's game with a 3-3 record and have surprised almost everyone this year. Their defense has stepped up and played beyond expectations and the offense has been very dynamic with Amari Cooper now on board. Oakland has a very good chance to come away with a huge home win this afternoon, but it will all depend on whether or not their defense can stop New York.
Chris Ivory is the workhorse for the New York offense and has been one of the top running backs in the NFL all season long. He has broken off big plays on the ground and has also been a very solid receiver out of the backfield for Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Raiders don't have the best run defense, which seems to give Ivory a chance to have a big game.
Both of these teams have flaws as well, however, with both teams having inconsistency issues on both sides of the football.
Predicting this game isn't easy at all, but we're going to roll with the Jets coming through with a big game and putting pressure on Carr. They have a very talented secondary and have players who are capable of stepping up and forcing turnovers.
This one could go either way and should come down to the fourth quarter, but the Jets are our pick.
