Indianapolis Colts Owner Jim Irsay Expects to Bounce Back from 3-4 Start to Win Super Bowl 50

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay isn't allowing his teams slow start to bother him and expects to bounce back from the 3-4 start to win Super Bowl 50 when everything is said and done this season.

It is a very bold prediction to say the least, but the Colts do have the talent to turn their season around in a big way. Andrew Luck has been struggling with injury and turnover issues, but both of those things can be fixed. They have a very talented offense and made the necessary improvements to make their defense much more competitive this past offseason as well.

Rumors have been flying around that Ryan Grigson and Chuck Pagano could be fired in the near future if the Colts don't turn their season around quickly.

A source talked about how Irsay is feeling about his team right now. The source also talked about his expectations for his team throughout the remainder of the 2015 NFL season.

"The pressure from the very top is going all the way down," the source said. "Knowing how [Irsay] feels about the [Manning years] and understanding how chances are lost, that plays into it. Not taking a big step [forward] is a serious problem. ... The goal in [Irsay's] mind is still the Super Bowl. It's not changing because of the start. He expects this team to put it together and compete for a Super Bowl."

There is no question that the Manning years with the Colts didn't go as well as they should have. With the teams that Irsay saw put together and the talent that they had, more than one Super Bowl should have been won. Manning's playoff struggles have been well documented and the last thing that Irsay wants to see is this team fall apart already.

That being said, it is way too early in the season to worry too much and lose confidence in the ability of the team that has been put together.

Luck is still one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL and the offense around him is impressive. The offensive line has to step up a bit, but they are more than capable of doing so. There are still some holes defensively, but they have improved quite a bit and don't have the massive holes that they have had in years past.

It will be very interesting to see how the Colts respond to the early hole that they have dug for themselves. They definitely have the talent to work their way back, but they need to do it soon or Irsay might not be able to stop himself from making some major changes.

What do you think? Are the Colts capable of rebounding from their current struggles and getting back to being a legitimate Super Bowl contender?
