The Green Bay Packers will face off against the Denver Broncos in NFL Week 8 action, but what five bold predictions can be made for the Packers as they get ready for this huge Sunday Night Football matchup.
1. Aaron Rodgers Will Come Through with a Massive Performance
Looking at the game right now, there are quite a few that expect Green Bay's offense to have some issues moving the football against Denver's talented defense. That being said, Aaron Rodgers is going to come through with a massive performance and power his team. He is the best quarterback in the NFL and that will show once again in a big way with a huge game against the Broncos' defense.
2. Eddie Lacy Gets Back on Track
One of the bigger concerns for the Packers heading into Week 8 of the season has been the slow start to the season for Eddie Lacy. He has been a huge part of the Packers' offense throughout his career, but simply hasn't been the impact player this season that they were hoping he would be. There are major concerns in Green Bay, but he should be able to get back on track and help the Packers against a tough Denver defense.
3. Green Bay Forces At Least Three Turnovers
Peyton Manning has been one of the NFL's best quarterbacks for quite some time and hasn't had a terrible start to a season like he has had this year in a long time either. Green Bay's defense has shown that they can rush the passer as well as make plays in the secondary and will force at last three turnovers this week. That could be what ends up losing the game for the Broncos.
4. Clay Matthews and the Defense Record At Least Five Sacks
As we mentioned in the last prediction, the Packers' defense has proven that they can get to the quarterback with the best of them this year. Going up against Denver's offensive line will give them the chance to put pressure on Manning and force quick decisions and mistakes. Clay Matthews leads the way with Julius Peppers close behind him and the defense will find a way to record at least five sacks.
5. The Packers Win and Remain Perfect on the Season
Both of these teams are still undefeated, but the Packers are the better all-around team and will come away with another big win on the road to remain perfect. Aaron Rodgers and the offense will put up solid production, while Clay Matthews and the defense will do enough to disrupt Manning. Green Bay will move to 7-0 with a huge win this weekend on Sunday Night Football.
All of that being said, this game promises to be one of the best of the 2015 season. These two teams both have the talent to be Super Bowl contenders at the end of the season, but Green Bay does have more talent throughout their roster.
Assuming Rodgers and the offense takes care of the football like they normally do, Denver is going to have a very difficult time beating Green Bay.
Expect this game to come down to the wire, but the Packers will make enough plays to get the job done. Make sure to tune in at 8:30 on Sunday night to catch this game and see if our predictions come true.
