In a shock move, The Full Monty is to end its West End run early and will close. The musical had gotten some good reviews and bagged an Olivier Award nomination, plus the previous musical theater incarnation of the hit film had been a success. The shocked cast and the writer, Simon Beaufoy, have signed an online petition asking the producer, David Pugh, to let the run continue and give a new marketing campaign time to work.
