The sultry '90s harbored some of the most sensually authentic R&B of the last few decades.
One of our favorites from that time, D'Angelo, will break on through to this millennium's side with a re-release of his famous Jazz Café performance in London from September 14, 1995.
The Virginia hero (born Michael Eugene Archer) performed a full set alongside Angie Stone, which featured favored tunes from Brown Sugar and an excellent selection of covers.
The night was recorded for future generations, but that disc only saw a Japanese release in 1996, slighting every other country of the glory that remains Live at the Jazz Café.
Until now.
The re-release will come Tuesday, March 25. And you'll get the crooner's full monty, in its entirety, as the Japanese only ran six tracks.
D'Angelo's manager, Alan Leeds, will also contribute a new essay to the original liners, which have been dutifully translated.
