The Dallas Cowboys are set to face off against the Washington Redskins in NFL Week 17 action. What five bold predictions can be made for the game and what should fans be on the lookout for throughout the game?
1. Darren McFadden Totals 125 Yards, Two Touchdowns
One of the bright spots for the Cowboys this season has been running back Darren McFadden's re-emergence in the NFL. He had struggled with major injury issues with the Oakland Raiders, but has been a threat each and every week since taking over the starting running back role. McFadden will put up another big game this week against the Redskins and will total 125 yards and two touchdowns in the game.
2. Kirk Cousins Rips the Dallas Defense for 350 Yards, Three Touchdowns
Washington has been pleasantly surprised by the play of quarterback Kirk Cousins after head coach Jay Gruden decided to start him over Robert Griffin III. He has led the Redskins to the NFC East division title and a spot in the playoffs. Cousins will rip the Dallas defense in a big way this week and will throw for 350 yards and three touchdowns at least in the game.
3. Kellen Moore Throws at Least Three Interceptions
While Kellen Moore hasn't had an awful start for the Cowboys yet, it is coming to him this week. Playing against a division rival who has clinched a playoff spot isn't going to be easy. Moore will throw at least three interceptions this week and the Cowboys will see the same quarterback struggles that they have seen all season long.
4. Alfred Morris Picks Up 80 Yards and a Touchdown
All season long the Redskins have been waiting on Alfred Morris to break out of his slump. He has had a couple games where it looked like he was on the right track, but he was unable to sustain it long-term. Morris will pick up 80 yards and a touchdown this week against the Dallas defense and will close out the regular season strong.
5. Washington Pulls Out an Easy Win to Finish the Season at 9-7
There is no question that the Redskins are the better all-around football team and are expected to pull out a win this week. That is exactly what will happen and it won't be a very difficult game for Washington either. Dallas is down and depleted and quite frankly will not want to win the game with their draft positioning on the line.
