5 Bold Predictions for St. Louis Rams vs. Detroit Lions in NFL Week 14

The St. Louis Rams are set to host the Detroit Lions in NFL Week 14 action. What five bold predictions can be made for the game and what should fans be on the lookout for throughout the game?

1. Todd Gurley Gets Back on Track with a Huge Performance

Jeff Fisher has not been utilizing Todd Gurley even close to enough over the past couple of weeks. That will change this week and Gurley will get back on track with a huge performance against a struggling Detroit defense. Gurley is without question the front-runner for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award this season and will once again prove why this week.

2. Matthew Stafford Throws for at Least 300 Yards, Three Touchdowns

Detroit has seen Matthew Stafford break out a bit and play much better than he did early on this season over the past few weeks. He has been making very few mistakes and has led his team to wins and near wins. Coming off of a depressing loss against the Green Bay Packers, Stafford will throw for at least 300 yards and three touchdowns in an attempt to get his team back in the win column against St. Louis.

3. Nick Foles Once Again is a Turnover Machine

One of the biggest issues all season long for the Rams has been the poor play that they have been getting from the quarterback position. Nick Foles has been an absolute turnover machine and that will continue this week. He will throw at least three more interceptions, although there is a good chance that he will be benched before that ends up happening.

4. Calvin Johnson Records at Least 125 Yards, Two Touchdowns

After having an amazing game on Thanskgiving Day, Calvin Johnson cooled off against the Packers. He will get back to terrorizing opposing defenses this week with at least 125 yards and two touchdowns. Johnson is still one of the top wide receivers in the game and will show that once again this week against the Rams.

5. St. Louis Finds a Way to Pull Out a Close and Ugly Win

These two teams are not going to put on the prettiest game, but the Rams are going to find a way to pull out the close win. Neither team has major advantages over the other, but if the Rams can get Todd Gurley going again they will be just fine. Taking the football out of Foles' hands and trusting Gurley to get the job done should be the plan that St. Louis has.
