Aaron Rodgers Will Break Out with Big Game for Green Bay Packers vs. Lions in NFL Week 13

Aaron Rodgers has been struggling over the past few weeks and the Green Bay Packers have lost four out of their last five games. As the Packers get set to face off against the Detroit Lions in NFL Week 13 action, Rodgers will break out with a big game and lead them to a huge win.

There have been questions swirling about what has been wrong with the Green Bay offense. It all comes back to one simply answer, which is the fact that Jordy Nelson is out.

Nelson has been Rodgers' favorite target for years and has been one of the most lethal deep threats in the entire NFL. Green Bay simply doesn't have a deep threat for Rodgers to work with. It has forced the Packers to limit their offense to shorter passes without the big play and defenses are able to defend those plays much easier without having to worry about a deep ball.

Throughout the 11 games that Rodgers has played this season, he has completed 60.5 percent of his pass attempts for 2,684 yards, 24 touchdowns and four interceptions. He has still done an amazing job of taking care of the football, but he just hasn't been able to make the big plays we have become accustomed to seeing.

Green Bay has a couple players capable of being that deep threat in Jared Abbrederis and Jeff Janis.

Mike McCarthy simply has to unleash his young receivers on the league, especially now that Abbrederis is back from his injury. Janis has made a couple big plays in his limited playing time, although he hasn't received nearly enough run this season.

Looking ahead to tonight's game against the Lions, Rodgers is going to absolutely dominant them. He is going to be given more freedom in the offense and the coaching staff will likely start running different looks offensively. Rodgers expressed frustration with himself and others being on different pages, which will come to an end this week.

It should be intriguing to see what changes are made, but you should expect to see a much better Green Bay offense than we have seen in recent weeks.

Expect to see Rodgers come out and dominate the Detroit defense. There will be more deep shots by Rodgers and the offense and it wouldn't be surprising to see some Abbrederis and Janis sightings throughout the game. Something has to change and this will be the week that we see those changes.
