Heading into NFL Week 13 action, what are the five biggest Green Bay Packers rumors that are swirling around the team? Can they rebound from a tough loss against the Chicago Bears?
1. Who Will Step Up as a No. 1 Receiver for Green Bay?
One of the big issues all season long has been finding a legitimate No. 1 wide receiver. Aaron Rodgers has been struggling without Jordy Nelson and someone needs to step up into that role. Finding out which receiver will step up as the No. 1 target is something that really needs to be done this week.
2. Can Eddie Lacy Make it Three Straight Weeks of Production?
After getting off to a horribly slow start this season, Eddie Lacy has had back-to-back weeks of 100+ yard games. Getting that type of a game from him this week against Detroit would be huge for Green Bay. Due to the struggles that the passing game has been having, it has made Lacy's role in the offensive even bigger than it was the past couple seasons.
3. Can Aaron Rodgers Return to MVP Form Following Struggles?
Aaron Rodgers has been struggling just as bad as anyone else on the Packers and the team needs him to figure out how to get back to playing at MVP form. He is the best quarterback in the NFL, but has not been playing like it over the past couple weeks. There is no question that he can get back to that level, but it needs to start this week against a surging Lions team.
4. Will the Defensive Secondary Figure Things Out?
One of the biggest issues on the defensive side of the football for the Packers has been the poor play of the secondary. They have to figure things out this week against a Detroit offense that saw Calvin Johnson explode last week. Green Bay needs their secondary to figure out the struggles and get back to playing at a high level.
5. Can Green Bay Fight Their Way Back to the Top of the NFC North
Losing last week cost the Packers the top of the NFC North, as the Vikings' win put them in sole possession of first place. Starting this week, the Packers will have to fight their way back to the top of the division. It won't be easy, but they desperately need to start things with the Lions this week.
