The St. Louis Rams will host NFC West division rival Arizona Cardinals in NFL Week 13 action. What five bold predictions can be made for the game and what should fans be on the lookout for throughout the game?
1. Todd Gurley Will Break Out of His Slump with 125 Yards, Two Touchdowns
Over the past two weeks, the Rams have gotten away from utilizing Todd Gurley as a workhorse in their offensive game plan. They will get back to that this week and Gurley will break out with a 125-yard game and will score at least two touchdowns. Gurley has to step up for the Rams to win this game and he is ready to do just that if he gets the necessary touches.
2. Carson Palmer Compiles at Least 300 Yards, Three Touchdowns
Due to the injury that running back Chris Johnson suffered, Bruce Arians is likely to put the football in Carson Palmer's hands much more. He will compile at least 300 yards and three touchdowns on the afternoon. Palmer has been impressive all season long, but he will take his game to a new level this week against a Rams defense that has given up some big plays this season.
3. St. Louis Quarterbacks Will Throw Three Interceptions
Whether the Rams start Nick Foles or Case Keenum this week, the quarterback will throw three interceptions. Foles looks like the starter and is coming off of a three interception week last week. Arizona has one of the top playmaking defenses in the NFL and that spells trouble for the St. Louis passing game.
4. David Johnson Breaks Out for a Big All-Around Game
Losing Chris Johnson is going to hurt Arizona the rest of this season, but rookie running back David Johnson is ready to break out with a big game. He may not put up massive numbers on the ground, but he is an excellent receiver out of the backfield. Johnson is going to have a big all-around game this week and will be an impact player for the Cardinals' offense.
5. Arizona Pulls Out a Big Road Win to Improve to 10-2
While the Rams are going to put up a tough fight, the Cardinals are going to make more plays and come away with a victory. Arizona will improve to 10-2 with the win, while St. Louis will drop to 4-8 due to the loss. St Louis is headed in the right direction, but this isn't the year that they will jump back into playoff contention.
