The Indianapolis Colts are set to host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week in NFL Week 12 action. What five bold predictions can be made for the game and what should fans be on the lookout for throughout the game?
1. Matt Hasselbeck Throws for 250 Yards, Three Touchdowns
Andrew Luck will miss another game due to injury and veteran quarterback Matt Hasselbeck is 3-0 when starting for Luck this season. He will total 250 yards and three touchdowns this week against a fairly weak Tampa Bay secondary. Hasselbeck is a very smart quarterback and a veteran leader and understands how to read defenses, which will help him in a big way this week.
2. Jameis Winston Throws at Least Four Touchdowns
Coming off of his huge game last week in which he threw five touchdowns, Jameis Winston will throw at least four more touchdown passes this week. Tampa Bay is on track to get back into contention in the near future and Winston is going to be the player that decides how far they go. He will put his team in position to win this game, but it is still going to be tough to beat a Colts team coming off a huge win.
3. Frank Gore Will Break Out with 100+ Yards, Two Touchdowns
Indianapolis is going to need to balance their passing game with Frank Gore on the ground and he will come through with a big game. Gore will pick up 100 or more yards this week to go along with two touchdowns. Hasselbeck needs some help, which Gore will be able to do this week.
4. Doug Martin Puts up Superstar Numbers
One of the biggest pleasant surprises this season has been Tampa Bay running back Doug Martin. He has bounced back strong with 188 carries for 941 yards and three touchdowns. Those numbers have been huge for the Buccaneers and he will continue carving opposing defenses up this week against the Colts.
5. Indianapolis Picks Up Another Big Win to Improve to 6-5
Despite the improvements that the Buccaneers have made this season, Indianapolis is the better team and will get this win. They will improve to 6-5 on the season as they continue their division race with the Houston Texans. On a side not, Hasselbeck will also improve to 4-0 on the season as the Colts' starting quarterback.
