Heading into NFL Week 10 action, the St. Louis Rams will face off against the Chicago Bears. What five bold predictions can be made about the game and what should fans be on the lookout for throughout the game?
1. Todd Gurley Rushes for 125+ Yards and Two Touchdowns
St. Louis decided to draft Georgia running back Todd Gurley with the No. 10 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft and he has turned into arguably the top running back in the league. He will show that this week against the Chicago Bears and will rush for at least 125 yards and two touchdowns. Gurley is a workhorse back for the Rams and there is no question that he will have another big game this week.
2. Jay Cutler Succeeds Against the Stiff Rams' Secondary
One of the biggest question marks for the Chicago Bears this season is whether or not Jay Cutler can turn things around. He has come through with a couple of big games this season and will have success against the Rams' secondary this week. Throwing on St. Louis isn't easy, but he will utilize Alshon Jeffery and Martellus Bennett perfectly this week to put up a good game.
3. Tavon Austin Is Utilized in a Big Way
The Rams have been making sure that Tavon Austin has been getting involved in the game early and often over the past few weeks. He is one of the most dynamic playmakers in the NFL when he is involved in the offense and St. Louis is lucky to have him. Against Chicago's defense, Austin is going to have a big game and will break off a couple big plays.
4. Alshon Jeffery Records at Least 100 Yards and Two Touchdowns
Chicago is going to have to go to Alshon Jeffery early and often this week to have a chance at knocking off the Rams. He gives them a height mismatch and the most athletic player on the field at any given moment. Cutler is going to go looking for home run passes to Jeffery, which will translate to at least 100 yards and two touchdowns on the afternoon.
He does have some question marks surrounding his health, but we are making these predictions on the assumption that he will heal up and play by Sunday.
5. St. Louis Comes Away with a Hard-Fought Victory
This should end up being a very competitive game with two teams needing wins. St. Louis is still the better all-around team and will come away with a hard-fought win. Chicago is going to stay in the game until the latter stages of the fourth quarter, but the Rams will be able to pull away.
Overview
St. Louis is in need of a win after last week's disappointing loss against the Minnesota Vikings. Playing a struggling Bears team gives them the perfect opportunity to do just that. They cannot afford to take this game lightly, however, and have to come out with everything they have.
What do you guys think about this game? Who do you think will win and what do you think the final score will be?
