Heading into NFL Week 9 action, what five bold predictions can be made for the Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins AFC East rivalry game and what should fans be on the lookout for throughout the game?
1. Tyrod Taylor Returns and Dominates the Miami Defense
Early on this season, Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor was playing like an absolute star. He has missed some time due to injury, but looks like he will make his return this week against the Dolphins. Taylor will come back strong and put up a huge performance and will shred the Miami defense apart.
2. Ryan Tannehill Continues His Impressive Play
Coming into the 2015 season, Ryan Tannehill was a player that many pegged as a player that needed to step up and would lose his starting job. Miami's quarterback has responded very well and actually set the NFL record for most consecutive completed passes. His impressive play will continue this week against a very difficult Buffalo defense.
3. LeSean McCoy Will Break Out with a Big Game
One of the biggest disappointments so far this season for the Bills has been the poor play of star running back LeSean McCoy. He was acquired from the Philadelphia Eagles this past offseason and was expected to be a workhorse running back and easy 1,000-yard threat. That hasn't been the case to this point in the season, but he will break out and put up big numbers this week against the Dolphins.
4. Lamar Miller Scores at Least Three Touchdowns
This is one of the boldest predictions that can be made, as Lamar Miller has been one of the most up-and-down running backs in the league. He is a threat through both the ground game and as a receiver out of the backfield and will score at least three touchdowns. Fantasy football owners should get excited about him this week no matter what others are saying about his matchup against the Bills.
5. Buffalo Pulls Out a Big Win to Improve to 4-4
Rex Ryan and the Bills are in desperate need of getting back in the win column, which is exactly what they will do this week against the Dolphins. Buffalo is the better all-around team and if they play up to their potential will come away with a fairly easy win. Having Taylor back on the field is going to make the difference for the Buffalo offense.
Overview
Looking ahead at this AFC East matchup, these two teams are needing a big division win at this stage of the season. Buffalo and Miami were both expected to take huge leaps forward this season, but neither team has been showing the talent that they have. There are real concerns about whether or not either of these teams will be able to make the postseason, but everything starts right now.
