Vampire Stephen Colbert Halloween: Live Ghost Performance, 'Circle' [WATCH]

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was even more impressive than normal this past weekend with Colbert doing it up big for Halloween. The ghoulish metal band, Ghost, performed their hit single, "Circle," live. The performance lent a truly creepy vibe to the show that will trick your senses and Colbert gave us a treat by showing all those wannabes out there how being a "sexy teenage Vampire" is really done.

The performance by Ghost was their first televised experienced, but they managed it like pros. “Filmed with a hazy filter, Ghost delivered an energetic performance and even got the crowd involved. Much like what can be seen happening in evangelical churches, some members of the audience were drawn forth to the stage in a dazed, stumbling stupor and ready to burst out speaking in tongues.” You know you have done something right when you literally entrance your audience.

If you haven't heard them yet and want to get an idea of their sound, you can't do better than Uproxx's amazing description ... "The Swedish metal band that worship Satan and sound like Blue Oyster Cult possessed by demons, were live on CBS. Your grandparents were likely confused as they dozed off with the TV on." Of course, you could also just watch the clip...

The Halloween episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, was classic Colbert. And okay, so, "sexy" might not be the word to describe Colbert's vampire costume, but at least it didn't sparkle. That said, Colbert provided some good advice that may prove useful to other Late Show hosts who consider similar costumes in the future, "One thing I learned as a vampire is if you're going to wear teeth like this, you should definitely do it in rehearsal as well"

Of course, Colbert could not resist having fun with the kiddies. Later in the show, he took a quick break from the action just to hand out some candy to the wee bits who dropped in. Rob Gronkowski of the Patriots joined Colbert for the Trick-or-Treating fun, wearing "a Master Chief costume he claimed to have made out of milk cartons, pipe cleaners, and $60,000" In addition to showering the children with sweet treats, the football star also gave two copies of Halo 5 to promote the release of the game to a couple of the trick-or-treaters.
