Game Prediction: The New Orleans Saints have been surprising over the past couple of weeks and have given their fan base reason to believe that they can make a run. Today, they face Eli Manning and the New York Giants, who are a very dangerous team and will be a major test for the Saints.
Drew Brees and the Saints' offense has been growing over the past few weeks and has quite a few playmakers.
Willie Snead and Brandin Cooks are doing an excellent job alongside of each other to give Brees targets to throw to. Ben Watson has stepped up at the tight end position and has been putting up big numbers. Mark Ingram and C.J. Spiller are a very solid running back duo as well.
Manning, on the other hand, has been tearing up opposing defenses throughout the 2015 season. He has Odell Beckham Jr. as his number one target, which shows why the Giants' offense is considered so dangerous. Who will step up at the running back position is one of the big questions that is facing the Giants this week.
Orleans Darkwa stepped up and had eight carries for 48 yards and a touchdown last week and likely earned himself more playing time today. They also have Shane Vereen, Rashad Jennings and even Andre Williams who could take up some carries. New York simply needs the combination to get them consistent production on the ground this week against a fairly week New Orleans run defense.
All of that being said, we're going to go with the streaking Saints to continue their winning streak. They are always dangerous at home and have been playing with a lot of confidence over the past couple of weeks, which bodes well for their chances this afternoon.
