The Indianapolis Colts rumors are beginning to fly after their loss to the New England Patriots. According to some of the latest rumors, Ryan Grigson could be fired following the 2015 NFL season.
Chuck Pagano has definitely been on the hot seat throughout the course of the season and is almost certainly going to be fired at the seasons end. He has been unable to take the next step with his team this year and there are major concerns moving forward. Indianapolis has to feel good about their chances to move forward without Pagano or Grigson should they choose to do so.
Bleacher Report has mentioned that Grigson's time with the Colts could be coming to an end soon.
While Grigson has made some good moves, the majority of his big decisions haven't worked out well. Perhaps the most obvious trade that went down was sending a first-round pick to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for Trent Richardson. That was far from being the only trade that he has made that hasn't worked out.
Not only have his trades not worked out for the most part, the Colts also haven't had a ton of luck with free agency or the draft.
Just this past year in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Colts decided to take Miami wide receiver Phillip Dorsett rather than addressing the offensive line or the defense. He has also made a huge mistake by making Bjoern Werner his first round pick a couple years back. There have been some successes throughout his career as the Colts' GM, but they have been few and far between.
That being said, this news is something to keep an eye on moving forward this season. All of the drama surrounding the Colts' organization is taking a toll on them and it is all helping contribute to the rough 3-3 start that they have had despite being hyped up as a Super Bowl contending team throughout the entire offseason.
If the Colts do decide to move on from him, it won't be too long before he gets another job. He may look like an important piece to the puzzle for the Colts, but when everything is said and done he simply hasn't done that much outside of pick the obvious choice with the No. 1 overall pick in Andrew Luck.
Expect to see the Colts make some moves following the 2015 season and Grigson certainly isn't off-limits.
