Dallas Cowboys vs. Atlanta Falcons NFL Week 3 Final Score Prediction

The Dallas Cowboys will welcome the Atlanta Falcons this afternoon in NFL Week 3 action. What is a reasonable final score prediction for this game?

Tony Romo is out for today's game due to the broken collarbone last week, which has left many media members believing that the Cowboys stand no chance against the 2-0 Falcons this week. Despite those beliefs, the Cowboys aren't going to go down without a fight. They still have quite a bit of talent on their roster and backup quarterback Brandon Weeden looked great last week after replacing Romo.

Atlanta, on the other hand, has defeated the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants by six total points. They are undefeated so far this season, but they are playing above their talent level so far. Whether or not that will continue happening is another question, but this week is going to be a test against a Cowboys' team ready to fight.

Dallas has one of the best offensive lines in the NFL and are hoping that Joseph Randle can break out with a big game to help take pressure off of Weeden. Giving Weeden time and protection in the pocket is a major key for the Cowboys as well. They are more than capable of doing just that and the Falcons simply don't have the type of pass rush to get through that line consistently.

Heading into this afternoon's game, the Falcons are favored by most, but that simply shouldn't be the case. These two teams are just about even and the game is going to come down to the wire.

Weeden may not be a star, but he is a much better quarterback than he was during his tenure with the Browns. Dallas has quite a few weapons for him to work with in Terrance Williams, Jason Witten, Cole Beasley and more. Atlanta's offense is going to put up numbers with the Matt Ryan and Julio Jones connection.

All of that being said, the Cowboys are going to come out and shock the media that doesn't believe they are capable of winning without Romo. Jason Garrett and the Cowboys have faith in Weeden and that will show. Expect to see a very entertaining game, but to see the Cowboys and not the Falcons come out on top when everything is said and done.

Dallas vs. Atlanta Final Score Prediction: Cowboys 28, Falcons 21
