Jimmy Graham Reportedly 'Hates' His Role with the Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks acquired star tight end Jimmy Graham last offseason and hoped he'd play a huge role, but he reportedly "hates" his role with the team.

According to a report from Bleacher Report, Graham "hates" his role with the Seahawks and is making it very well known that he does. Seattle has to be very careful with this situation, as it could go downhill very quickly. Graham isn't just unhappy, he has been making it very obvious to teammates that he hates the offense and the role that they have given him through the first two games of the season.

There were some concerns about the fit when the Seahawks originally made the move. Many didn't think that he would be used like he was with the New Orleans Saints throughout the majority of his career and didn't think that he would be happy with a role change. Pete Carroll has his work cut out for him figuring out a way to change things up with his offense.

Russell Wilson will also have to change things up and do a much better job of getting Graham the football. That should be the easiest thing for Wilson to do, as Graham is always going to give him a size advantage and athletic ability that most defensive players won't be able to go up against.

Throughout his two career games with the Seahawks this season, Graham has caught just seven passes for 62 yards and a touchdown. He has the potential to do much more damage to opposing defenses than that and his frustration is completely understandable. Wilson should be looking at him as the primary target each and every time that Graham is on the field.

At 6-foot-7 and 265 pounds, the reasoning for his disappointing with his lack of usage becomes even more understandable. Having the ability to tower over opposing defenses has made him a huge playmaker in the past, but for some reason he isn't being used like that in Seattle.

Looking ahead at Week 3 against the Chicago Bears, the Seahawks have to figure out a way to force feed him the ball early in the game and often throughout it.

Expect to see the offense change drastically in Seattle immediately this coming week. The Seahawks cannot afford to have Graham angry and disconnected like he has been this year and they will do everything in their power to tailor their offense around his skill-set.

Seattle can't afford to continue running the current offensive system that they have and perhaps getting the football into Graham's hands more would be exactly what can help them turn things around.
