After Tattoo Questioning, Aaron Hernandez Murder Trial Defense Pleading Insanity for Three Killings?
It appears that Aaron Hernandez's defense team is going to plead insanity at his murder trial. The former Patriots tight end has been charged with a double homicide that occurred in 2012 as well as the murder of semi-pro linebacker Odin Lloyd, with whom Hernandez was acquainted. The three killings, which authorities believe are related, all occurred in or near Boston where Hernandez was living. Following a damning investigation which included questioning tattoo artists who may have worked on or known Hernandez, it now seems that the defense is going to have his records pulled from the Patriots' files to determine whether he could be declared mentally unfit to stand trial. With his squeaky clean image and Christ-like code of conduct, it is hard to say anything bad about the guy, even as he decides to break up with his beautiful and equally scandal-free wife Ashton (even rumors that she cheated with Golden Tate haven't stuck). And now the NFL is giving him the Good Guy Award. Short of murder, there isn't anything he could do to sully his reputation at this point.
