Captain Phasma may have been been one of the most disappoint parts of Star Wars The Force Awakens. Besides the film being a cliche filed remake of A New Hope, the films waste of Game of Thrones Season 6 star Gwendoline Christie’s character was a more grievous sin against the franchise than General Grievous. However, that hasn’t affected Christie’s love for all things Star Wars.
Recently, Gwendoline Christie spoke to HitFix about her favorite Star Wars film of all time.
“I Just keep going back to ‘A New Hop. Because it was the first ‘Star Wars’ film I saw and because I was so young.”
Hey Christie, if you love A New Hope so much, why don’t you re-make it…..oh wait.
Gwendoline did go one to explain that warm happy feeling we all got when watching Episode IV for the first time:
“I was about six and it was Christmas time and my family showed the film to me. And it was very much presented as THIS is ‘Star Wars.’ I was in awe of it. I was taken totally to another realm. And I remember watching it and I couldn't believe how excited and elated and evolved I felt. And how much I wanted to explore this land. And how much I wanted to get to know these characters. I thought they were so brilliant. I wanted to be with them. I wanted to be in their gang whether good or bad. They were two really cool gangs.”
