Star Wars: The Force Awakens finally lets fans rejoice after months of agony, while they waited for that all-too-familiar orchestral blast to mark the beginning to the next chapter in the Star Wars saga. Fans would be a bit surprised to find out that Daniel Craig had a secret cameo in the film.
After an eternity of waiting, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is finally here! On opening night, theaters were filled with light saber wielding Cosplayers, über SW fans, young soon-to-be fans, and casual movie-goers hoping to experience this once-in-a-lifetime moment. As fans ponder over the implications The Force Awakens for the Star Wars canon, the film will begin to get dissected and picked apart for every savory morsel of information that fans can latch onto until Star Wars: Episode VIII hits theaters.
You might surprised by how likable BB-8 is, or how great of a character that Rey, Finn, and Poe Dameron are, or even marvel at the young Kylo Ren as he hacks and slashes his way into our hearts, but there might have been a cameo slipped into the film that you have missed. It has been a long time rumor in the months leading up to the films release that Daniel Craig was going to have a short cameo in the film, but as the credits rolled, There had been no sign of Craig. Or was there?
According to Entertainment Weekly, "Craig does make a cameo in Star Wars VII as a stormtrooper, turning up in one of the movie's most memorably nostalgic scenes. "He did it for sh-s and grins," says one of the people with knowledge of the actor's performance."
(((SPOILER ALERT))))
This is great, and just to point out which trooper he was, he was in the scene where Kylo Ren has captured Rey. Daniel Craig is the stormtrooper that is guarding her. Have you seen the film, but neeed a little more clarification? He is the stormtrooper that tells Rey, "I'll tighten those restraints, Scavenger Scum!" This is such a funny and nostalgic moment in the film. If you haven't seen The Force Awakens yet, do yourself a favor and go see it in the theater.
