Although her ex-husbands clearly don't think very highly of her, Kailyn Lowry is coming to Leah Messer's defense. According to the latest gossip news updates, Leah's fellow Teen Mom 2 cast member thinks her old friend is getting a bad rap in the press. Lowry claims that Messer is a good mom that did the right thing in going to rehab when she did and is supposedly shocked by the recent reports that Leah lost custody of her daughter's to her ex, Corey Simms. Meanwhile, Messer has also spoken out about her recent misfortunes -- dispelling the rumors that she is contemplating suicide in the wake of losing her little girls.
While a contingent of Teen Mom 2's fans think that Leah Messer was selfish for going to rehab when she did, Kailyn Lowry recently defended her costar's actions in an interview with Radar Online:
"I think taking care of yourself as a person and a mother first is always important.
"And if she has to go through some bumps in the road to get into a healthy place, then nobody should knock her for it."
One of Messer's friends supposedly told Radar that Leah was having a difficult time adjusting to only being able to see her daughters on the weekends and was afraid that she might soon do something so desperate as a result that she may not survive (via InQuisitr):
"Leah seems deeply depressed, and everyone is very concerned...She can't imagine life without her girls.
This time speaking out for herself, Messer blasted Radar's report on Twitter -- pointing out that she is too dedicated a mother to ever even consider suicide (via Us Weekly):
"Articles that are sent to me are unbelievable!
"I am far from being suicidal because my girls need me happy and healthy! #craziness"
What do you think about Leah Messer?
Is she really just misunderstood the way the Kaitlyn Lowry seems to suggest?
Or, does the Teen Mom need to finally get her act together, instead of just faking it here and there for the cameras?
