Halloween means candy, costumes, trick-or-treating and a new round of YouTube Challenge prank, "I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy." The brilliant, but borderline abusive, brainchild of Jimmy Kimmel from Jimmy Kimmel Live, 2015 marks the fifth anniversary of this insanely amazing trick, and it still hasn't gotten old. Even guest star Mark Ruffalo, famous Incredible Hulk actor of Avenger fame, got in on the joke.
For most kids, the best part of Halloween is finally getting to eat all of their hard-earned candy. Call me weird, but for me, my favorite part was organizing it all by type, color and size. Now, I'm older and wiser. My tastes are more refined. So, I have forgone my candy sorting ways for watching videos of kids throwing fits as they realize their parents have stolen all their candy. Thank you, Jimmy Kimmel. Thank you, for five beautiful years of this phenomenal Halloween tradition.
Before you start brow beating me for my love of child torture, it should be noted that I am not alone. This year, when Kimmel asked for footage of screaming kids, he received an avalanche of videos. "Over 1,000 parents thought it would be fun to send video footage of their children crying about their missing candy. In fact Kimmel even goes so far as to say, "I will be able to do this for as long as people continue to have sex."
This year's clips ran the gambit from kids fainting, to hysterical crying and everything in-between. One child even went so far as to hit his dad with his Trick-or-Treat bag!
My favorite bits were the hilarious one-liners. You will not want to miss them. Especially the wee lad who looks inside his pumpkin bucket and exclaims, "There's only wrappers in there, Turkey Butth*le!" and, of course, the little girl who tells her mom to go get a job.
There were even a couple of children who got wise and called both Jimmy Kimmel and their parents out, remembering the prank from the previous year. Sadly (or delightfully, however you choose to look at it) one poor kid remembers, but isn't quite convinced that his mother is playing a trick. Before he runs off to check, he tells her under no uncertain terms, "If I see no candy, you are in big trouble young lady!" Classic.
For your viewing pleasure, I have included the entire reel below. You really can't get much better than Jimmy Kimmels Live's, "I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy." It is just too much awesome! You can use the comments below the video to tell everyone which clip was your favorite. I certainly look forward to reading what you think!
