Apparently, Jimmy Kimmel is a great big ole cry baby. Not only did he well up talking about Cesil the lion earlier on his late night show, but he also shed a few tears at Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston’s secret wedding. Kimmel officiated the pair’s surreptitious nuptials. Now, Justin Theroux is opening up about Kimmel’s tear jerking speech. Howard Stern, who was also a guest at the wedding, previously poked fun at Kimmel’s weepy eyes, on his radio show. However, if you believe the tabloids, they may have been crocodile tears, or at least unwarranted. Some sources are claiming the couple had a sham wedding in order to better be able to adopt, and are now heading towards divorce. Why a multi-millionaire would need to be married to adopt a baby, we are still unsure.
After the Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston’s secret wedding, Howard Stern took to his hit radio show to give all the details on Jimmy Kimmel and the power vested to him (via Vanity Fair):
“Jimmy was the preacher. He did a beautiful job. I didn’t think he’d get through it. Jimmy’s still depressed about that lion getting killed over in Africa . . . Ellen was mad that I made fun of Jimmy for crying.”
Vanity Fair also spoke with Justin Theroux about Kimmel’s services, with the Leftovers star telling the publication:
“It was exactly what you would want him to do. He was extremely funny, kept things extremely light, it was extremely touching, cried a little bit--he did--well, everyone did, and it was the perfect tone for the night.”
