Game Prediction: Philip Rivers and the San Diego offense has been absolutely on fire, which doesn't bode well for the weak defense that Oakland has had this season. The Chargers are without question the better team on paper, although their defense will have to step up against Derek Carr and the Raiders' offense that has improved drastically this season from last year.
If the Raiders want to have any chance at coming away with a win, they will need their defense to put pressure on Rivers and force a turnover or two. Charles Woodson is one of the better playmakers in the secondary throughout the entire league, which gives Oakland some hope.
Both of these teams need a win, with Oakland coming into the game at 2-3 on the season and San Diego even lower at 2-4. Despite the fact that the Chargers are lower in the AFC West standings, they are still favored to win this game and should be. They are a much better all-around team and have the playmakers to win this game fairly easily.
This game should be entertaining most of the way through, but the Chargers should be able to take control in the second half.
Obviously this isn't a terribly hard game to predict, although there is a good chance that the Raiders will come out and shock us. San Diego is our pick, however, and we are sticking to it.
