Kate Beckinsale & Husband Len Wiseman Split?

It would seem that there is something terrible amiss in Kate Beckinsale's marriage to director Len Wiseman. According to the latest gossip news updates, both the Underworld 5 beauty and her husband have recently been seen out and about without their wedding rings in recent weeks. Word has it that Wiseman was even spotted leaving Bar 1200 with some scantily dressed mystery girl on his arm October 2 -- leading many to surmise that the couple soon plan to officially split.

After more than a decade together it looks like Kate Beckinsale and her Underworld collaborator/husband, Len Wiseman, are ready to call it quits.

One source in the latest October 26, issue of Star magazine claims that the writing was on the wall long before the paparazzi seemingly caught Len on a date with another women:

"Something is clearly wrong. Kate and Len barley spend any time together. They used to be so close, but that just isn't the case anymore.

"Late and Len have been leading separate lives for some time now...they don't even attend family functions together anymore."

Being that they fell in love on the set of their original Underworld collaboration back in 2003, it is somewhat ironic that it's their very busy Hollywood careers that are now said to be pulling them in opposite directions these days, according to OK! Magazine's inside informant:

"They have been drifting apart due to separate schedules. The cracks are starting to show.

"It's be a shame if they can't fix it."

Perhaps, spelling as much doom for the Underworld franchise as their marriage is Deadline's report that Len is now lining up another Die Hard movie, after it was previously announced that he and his wife would be making yet another vampire sequel earlier this year:

"Fox is making a deal for Live Free Or Die Hard helmer Len Wiseman to return and develop with producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura a sixth installment of Die Hard.

"Wiseman came up with a new angle that he pitched to di Bonaventura, who's staying involved here and will produce with the director...Basically, he'll bookend a story line that will set much of the action in 1979, when McClane was a cop in gritty New York City and showing how he became a die hard kind of guy."

Let's hope that Kate and Len will be able to hold it together until the fifth Underworld instalment is at least in post.
