Despite what your tween daughter might have led you to believe, Divergent super-stars Shailene Woodley and Theo James are not dating and never have been. According to all the latest gossip news updates, you shouldn't expect to see Theo back with Kate Beckinsale for the upcoming Underworld sequel either. Word has it that franchise will split their world famous leads between two new movies--one with Theo at the helm and the other with Kate taking on her usual role as Selena, vampire badass. Good thing for Shailene too--because if Woodley ever plans to lure James away from his longtime girlfriend, Ruth Kearney, she probably wants to severely limit the time he spends around the insanely beautiful Beckinsale.
While Shailene Woodley has been out pushing people's button's with her new topless nude sex scenes in White Bird in a Blizzard, her Divergent co-star, Theo James has been busy landing himself another recurring role in an action franchise.
Word has it that not only will Theo be returning to reprise his role in the next Underwood installment, he will be the leading star.
According to a recent article by First Showing that cites Underworld director Len Wiseman as a source, Theo will be staring in his own film as David, the vampire/cop that helped Selena reunite with her hybrid daughter in the last movie, while Kate will be getting a project of her own:
"There's a few things being developed right now.
"There are some characters who we really liked that will be in a kind of a spin-off like we did with Rise of the Lycans, then we have another film in the works with Kate [Beckinsale] as well."
And that isn't the only exciting news breaking in Theo action hero world this week.
Entertainment industry news breaker, Variety, announced that Insurgent--unlike its predecessor--will be released in 3D in addition to the usual 2-demintional format.
According to a statement by producers Douglas Wick and Lucy Fisher the new experience will be adding another aspect to the movie watching experience along with the additional money it generates:
"The second film in the Divergent franchise takes the story and action to another level and, by partnering with RealD, we were able to blend gripping performances and mind-blowing spectacle to create a unique event on screen."
Let's hope that the White Bird in a Blizzard producers soon make the same announcement.
