Game Prediction: The Colts and Patriots are meeting tonight for the first time since the entire "Deflategate" situation during last seasons AFC Championship game and it is expected to be a very tense matchup. Both teams are looking to embarrass the other, which sets the stage for what could be a very entertaining game.
Andrew Luck and Tom Brady have faced off four times, with the Patriots coming away victorious in each one of them. Luck is dealing with a shoulder injury this evening and it will be interesting to see how he's able to play.
New England is definitely favored to pull off the win tonight, but the Colts have other plans. They have the home field advantage and have been playing much better football over the past couple of weeks. There is no question that they have improved their roster from last season and should give the Patriots a battle.
Everything will come down to what version of Luck we see this evening. If he comes out and is able to make the big throws that made him special the last few seasons, Indianapolis has a chance. If he looks hurt at all or turns the football over a lot, there is a good chance that the Colts will get beat fairly badly.
No matter what ends up happening, these two teams should have a good chance to meet again in the postseason at some point.
While it's hard to choose a winner for a prediction, we're going to make a bold bet and go with the Colts. They are favored heavily, but the Colts are being given an underdog title which is what they love having. Luck will come back with a big game and the Colts have an improved defense and a running game that they didn't have last year with Frank Gore ready to step up.
