It would seem that the supermarket tabloids have once again figured out that there is something terribly wrong with Jessica Simpson's marriage Eric Johnson, but they don't seem to agree on what it is. According to the latest gossip news updates Daisy Duke is feuding with her retired husband over either her incessant drinking or her refusal to have any more of his kids. Word has it that after a disastrous appearance on the Home Shopping Network the former footballer is demanding his wife go to rehab or deal their divorce? Of course, there is also talk that Jessica and Eric were getting along better than ever before Johnson realized that the Dukes of Hazzard star had decided that she had had her last baby.
Despite the fact it took years for Jessica Simpson to shed the 70-pounds of baby weight she packed on during her first two pregnancies, Eric Johnson is said to have shattered at the proposition of never seeing his wife pregnant again.
One source in the latest October 5, issue of Life & Style claims that after Eric heard Jessica make a joke about not having any more kids he started a fight demanding to know where she got off making that kind of decision without him:
"He couldn't believe she would be so glib about something that matters so much to him...He raged on and on.
"At one point half-pleading, half-yelling, he told her 'I want us to have two more kids!'
According to the informant, Eric knew that Jessica wanted to take a break after having their son, Ace, a couple years back but always thought that it would only be temporary:
"He figured that seeing Max and Ace grow up more and more adorable by the ay would eventually bring her around.
"So he was blindsided by her 'no more kids' comment."
Conversely, the behind-the-scenes source that Radar Online spoke to claimed that not only had Eric been happy with Jessica and her drinking for quite some time, he was threatening to take the kids they did have away from her if she didn't get help cleaning herself up (via In Touch):
"She's taking Adderall and anti-anxiety pills. And on top of that, she drinks...Things reached a climax in early May, when Eric told Jess he has had enough and issued his ultimatum.
"He is worried sick that Jess' conduct is going to start affecting their two children and that their oldest is starting to realize there's something wrong with mommy."
