Despite her being one of the first of last season's cast members to leave, Rosie O'Donnell is said to be returning to The View when it come back later in 2015. According to the latest gossip news updates, Donald Trump's old nemesis won't be coming back fulltime but will be popping in here and there for the occasional guest appearance. Meanwhile, her personal life is said to be looking up as well. While it's true her daughter Chelsea might have left her forever and her soon-to-be ex-wife, Michelle Rounds, is trying to get sole custody of their child in their divorce, Rosie is rumored to have a new girlfriend. Word has it that the 53-year-old comedian is currently dating John McEnroe's ex, Tatum O'Neal.
It certainly hasn't been the easiest of years for Rosie O'Donnell, but there just might be a light at the end of the tunnel.
Despite being right in the middle of a very public and ugly divorce from Michelle Rounds, Rosie is said to have found a new love in Tatum O'Neal.
One source in the latest September 14, issue of Star magazine claims that O'Donnell and O'Neal are fast falling in love but are still trying to keep things quiet on account of Rosie's impending divorce:
"They've known each other for a while but the secrecy of their dating has made it more exciting...she and Tatum have actually been very sweet together.
"[But] Rosie believes she needs to hide her newfound happiness because it would drive Michelle to fight Rosie that much harder for their child."
The insider that People spoke to explained that Rosie and Tatum don't get to see each other as much as they like given their living so far apart, but when they can, they make time:
"It's a bicoastal relationship.
"They are confidantes. They are hanging out.
"They have seen each other on both coasts, in Nyack and in Los Angeles."
As if that weren't good news enough, Rosie's professional life is said to be on a little bit of an uptick as well.
After walking away from the show last February -- citing health issues -- word has it that Rosie is ready to return to The View.
An insider with the show told Radar Online that O'Donnell was definitely coming back, but it wasn't going to be in the same fulltime capacity as last season:
"Rosie is coming back for guest appearances.
"Execs definitely would like some of her appearances to happen at some point during the election.
"And, of course, she'll be talking about Donald Trump."
