It seems that the reports that former View co-host Rosie O'Donnell was going to be able to dodge her wife Michelle Rounds' reported call for drug testing may not have been accurate after all. According to the latest gossip news updates, The League of Their Own legend is looking at possibly losing custody of her child, Dakota, after failing a drug test. In a related bit of news, Sherri Shepherd, who's divorce court battle with ex-husband Lama Sally resulted in her having to take custody of the baby they had through a surrogate, is now trying to down play her very public and ugly split, by insisting that throughout the experience she never lost her sense of humor.
Shortly after the news of their split went public, Michele Rounds was said to be accusing her wife, Rosie O'Donnell, of drinking a bottle of wine every night only after trying to first smoke her weight in marijuana --prompting some folks to suspect that court ordered drug testing was an inevitability.
One source in the July 6, issue of the National Enquirer explained that despite the initially reports that Rosie was in the clear, her alleged pot smoking is already starting to affect her custody case:
"Some weeks ago, Rosie's side put out false word to the media that there would be no drug testing as Michelle has demanded.
"But a test was conducted using a hair follicle, and it came back positive for drugs.
"Based on the drug test, Rosie knows she'll almost certainly have to go through other testing, including medical and psychological exams."
According to the informant, Rosie was convinced that she had put off the test long enough to purge all the THC from her system and nearly hit the roof once she realized that all her efforts had been for naught:
"When Rosie found out she was furious!
"She's been trying to hide her drug use for a long time, and she didn't realize that marijuana stays in your system for a number of months."
Sherri Shepherd, who just got out the other side of a messy divorce battle with ex-husband Lamar Sally, told Closer Weekly that the best advice she could give O'Donnell was to remember to always keep moving forward:
"I think that when you go through stuff, as long as you get up, you have another chance to get it right.
"Everybody's got something, it's just about how you handle it. For me, I'm going to handle my situation by smiling my way through it.
"I'm going to get up every day and have a sense of humor."
So remember Rosie, no matter what happens with Michelle the most important thing is never forgetting to laugh, although it shouldn't be a problem if half of what they say about the you're smoking pot is true.
