Instead of hanging her head low after being determined to be illegally trying to shirk her duties as mother to the surrogate baby she had with ex-husband, Lamar Sally, Sherri Shepherd is making jokes about giving the kid away. According to the latest gossip news updates, the divorced comedienne even went so far as to offer to give the child to Ravan-Symone while recently guest staring on The View. Crazy as it is to think about -- Jenny McCarthy's bestie recently pointed out that she wouldn't have gotten herself in this trouble in the first place if she had just listened to Whoopi Goldberg a few years ago when she was trying to convince her that Lamar was really a no god snake in the grass.
As cold and callous as it may seem, Sherri Shepherd recently offered to let new View cast member, Ravon-Symone have one of her kids after the 29-year-old actress revealed that she has wanted a baby of her own since she was 15-years-old.
Showing about as much tact as Bill Cosby performing his stand up, Shepherd said that she had a baby or two the former Disney star could have, before realizing her joke was a little too on the nose and started backtracking (via Madame Noire):
"Girl, I got one or two, you can have one of mine...I will give them to you.
"You know how people with kids are like, 'Take mine.'"
As disturbing as that was, it's even more upsetting to learn from Sherri that she could have avoided all this heartbreak in the first place if she had only taken the advice from her good friend and mentor, Whoopi Goldberg.
According to Shepherd if she had just had the common sense to do what her old co-star had told her, she never would have agreed to go along with Lamar's surrogacy plans (via CocoaFab):
"I actually feel like, if I had listened to my best friends, I wouldn't be having... a million attorneys in my life right now.
"All the stuff that I'm going through now, all the best friends who told me, 'Sherri, don't do this'...specially Whoopi Goldberg.
"She was one who came to my room every day and was like, 'Here's the red flags.'"
Joke about it all you like but trying to force some poor surrogate mother into taking care of your child for the rest of their lives is hardly a laughing matter.
