George Clooney Fears for Bill Murray; Wife Amal Replaces Donald Trump?

He may be known as much for his hard partying as he is for his Ocean's Eleven movies, but George Clooney is said to be worried to death about Bill Murray's drinking. According to the latest gossip news updates, the ER heartthrob knows bad boozing when he sees it and is desperate to help his dear friend dial it back a bit. In a related story, Donald Trump's getting fired from NBC's Celebrity Apprentice may very well wind up working out in Amal Alamuddin's favor. Word has it that Batman's wife is on the short list to take over as host of the show when it finally returns to air.

It sounds a little odd being that George Clooney has his own brand of premium tequila, but the latest tabloid rumors claim that the Hollywood icon is terribly worried about Bill Murray's drinking.

A supposed insider told the less than reputable National Enquirer that after Clooney watched Bill's disastrous appearance on Lawrence O'Donnell's show back in May, he knew something was terribly wrong:

"Bill's been waging a battle with the bottle for years...Now it looks like the bottle is winning!

"He's worried about Bill's drinking for years, but now George feels he has to do something about it.

"When George saw Bill slur his way through that interview, all his worst fears were confirmed."

Speaking of over-the-top antics, NBC has announced that there won't be a new Celebrity Apprentice this year -- thanks to the network's ironically having to fire Donald Trump for just some of the many offensive comments he has made in the past few months.

While a secret source with the show is said to have told the UK's Sunday Express that Amal was at the very tippy top of the list to replace the controversial reality star, NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke told E! News that the Express might want to double check with their informant:

"I don't think that's accurate."

For his part chairman Robert Greenblatt promises that whether they ultimately sign Mrs. Clooney as the new host or not, the popular series will be returning to air before you know it:

"We will not be producing a new edition of the show this season, but it will be back for the 2016/2017 season, with a new host."

What do you think about George Clooney's wife possibly replacing Trump?

Is it just another case of Hollywood nepotism?

Or, would Amal Alamuddin make the perfect new addition to a series desperately trying to take itself more seriously?
