While most women would probably be more than happy living with George Clooney in any mansion he saw fit to provide for them, word has it that Amal Alamuddin just isn't that sort of girl. According to the latest gossip news updates, Batman's new wife wants him to purge his real estate portfolio of all properties he acquired prior to their getting married. Although it sounds a little odd, Amal is said to feel uncomfortable staying at any one of Clooney's four homes, knowing that he once also shared them with his past girlfriends as well.
His having a villa in Italy, a beach house is Mexico, a mansion in LA and a luxe apartment in New York have often been viewed as the icing on the cake when dating George Clooney, but now that they are married, his wife Amal Alamuddin is said to resent the properties as monuments to Clooney's past conquests.
One source in the latest August 10, issue of OK! Magazine explains that Amal is obsessed with the idea of their getting a fresh start -- unburdened by her husband's playboy past:
"Those houses hold a lot of happy memories of George, but she hates the thought of sleeping in the same room as his former lovers.
"He knows it's pointless arguing with her -- she's a lawyer, and she always wins!"
Although not much has been mentioned about his places in LA and New York, there has been plenty of speculation in recent weeks that George is looking to unload his house in Mexico as well as his villa on Lake Como.
According to the insider that the Daily Mail spoke to, Clooney's considering selling his estate in Italy has more to do with the intrusive paparazzi than it does the whims of his new wife:
"George loves the area and the people who live there, but is conscious of the attention he gets when he is in town."
What do you think?
Is Amal right is demanding that a man with Clooney's means make the effort to purge their future together of any reminders of his sordid past?
Or, should George look out that the London lawyer is having him consolidate his holdings to make their eventual divorce all the more profitable for her?
