For several weeks now all the supermarket tabloids have been in agreement that George Clooney is desperately trying to get his wife, Amal Alamuddin, pregnant. According to the latest gossip news updates, both Batman and his English bride are taking it easy for the time being to focus on having a baby. In a related story, it has been a known fact that the Ocean's Eleven star lost his best friend, Brad Pitt, to his ever growing family, but word has it that George has found the next best thing in Hail, Caesar! costar and brand new drinking buddy, Channing Tatum.
While it's true that George Clooney has insisted time-and-time again that he really isn't very interested in having any kids with his wife, Amal, the tabloids are determined not to get burned a second time.
One source in the latest August 10, issue of Life & Style explains that whether it happens during their Italian vacation this month or not, Clooney and his bride are determined to conceive sooner rather than later:
"His family and friends have convinced him that he was meant to be a dad and George would love nothing more than to have a son to play basketball with!
"Amal has already cut back on her hectic schedule and is more concerned with spending time with George."
Whether George and Amal soon have baby news to announce or not, it is doubtful that Clooney is going to give up having a few drinks with his friends any time soon.
The 54-year-old Hollywood icon might have lost Brad Pitt to his brood some years back, but the insider in this week's Star magazine claims that Clooney has finally filled the void with new drinking buddy Channing Tatum.
According to the informant, George has since learned his lesson, however, and these days he makes sure the he invites the wives to come along on their nights out:
"Jenna was a little nervous, but Channing told her how down-to-earth George is...They have the some sense of humor."
What do you think about the all the recent pregnancy rumors?
Will George and Amal soon be asking Channing and Jenna if they would be godparents to their newborn?
Or, is the Clooney's new baby just so much wishful thinking?
