Far overshadowing the resume of the last man that had the pleasure of having the job, George Clooney's wife, Amal Alamuddin is said to be poised to take Donald Trump's old job as host of Celebrity Apprentice. According to the latest gossip news updates, the London lawyer is being considered to take over the reality show's boardroom now that the network considers the 2016 Presidential candidate unfit for public consumption. In a related story, history's worst Batman is said to have been confirmed as the first guest on Stephen Colbert's new Late Show.
While part of Amal Clooney's charm always seemed to be that she really wasn't in any way a part of Hollywood, George Clooney's new wife is said to be on the short list to replace Donald Trump now that he has been fired from NBC's Celebrity Apprentice.
The insider that spoke to the UK's Sunday Express claimed that Amal's high international profile combined with her outsider status in Hollywood makes her ideal to take the show in a more respectable direction (via DailyMail):
"As well as the cachet of being married to George, she is also a highly respected figure in her field.
"Since she rarely says anything in public, there is still something of an air of mystery to her.
"We think she could be a perfect fit."
Although the prospect of Alamuddin's actually joining Celebrity Apprentice seems dubious at best, Variety reports that Stephen Colbert has all but confirmed that Amal's husband, George Clooney, will be the first guest ever on his new Late Show:
"Colbert on Friday morning revealed via Twitter that the star of films including Tomorrowland, Michael Clayton and Ocean's Eleven would be 'my first-ever guest' when the new version of Late Show debuts on CBS September 8."
What do you think about Amal Alamuddin possibly following her new husband into showbusiness?
Would it be best if Amal just stuck to prosecuting international criminals and leave the TV appearances to George?
Or, should Alamuddin, of course, take that job on Celebrity Apprentice if that is something she actually wants to do?
